2008 AIS Christmas Party, Father & Son: Edward W. Chin and "Bradtastic" Brad Chin

Merry Christmas. Seriously.

I frequently joke about many things… but this, especially this year, with what’s going on all around the world and here at home, the state of the economy and state of the Union… enjoy this time with friends and family. Enjoy the time off. Do something new. Explore.

Whatever it is about this time of year that makes us set-aside differences, come together and be happy, let’s try and hang onto that. Let’s strive for better relationships all of the time—year’roundlife is too short to need a holiday for an excuse to be happy.

Much love and special thanks to my family, friends and supporters. The following are some little messages to important people. It’s my Christmas version of Thanksgiving, sans Turkey and pilgrim stuff.

Amy, love you tons. You’ve become quite cool and a great sister. Glad to see you rockin’ life, taking charge and ass-kickin’ via Volleyball.

Mom and Dad, you’ve always done everything to be there for me and help me out… it’s not unnoticed or forgotten. I really love you both.

Stephanie, you impress and inspire me. You make me want things. You make me smile and put extra vibrance, depth and beauty onto my life’s canvas. I will continue to show you a different, better world. I want you to feel wonderful and happy. You more-than-deserve it.

ChrisKenton—we’ve chatted about wild stuff… I’m glad that you don’t mind thinking that I’m as brilliant as I sometimes claim to be. I hope that my ideas can help; your thoughts, suggestions, software and presence is opening doors and creating clarity. Your faith in me is great motivation.

ND & Sullivenom: Your enthusiasm is an enjoyable energy, your change will arrive sooner than you might think. Stay positive and believe. I appreciate your respect, loyalty and your “thank you’s” and I’m sure we’ll talk soon.

GW… where have you been this year, aside from every country in Europe?! Oh that’s right, Japan. You’ve been off of the grid… hope that changes in ‘09, but I’m glad that you’re achieving that “success’stuff.”

Karina, you’ve changed the way I view things… helped make this year’s summer a phenomenal whirlwind. I’m sorry to have been out of touch so much… I’m working on that.

Karen, thanks for helping me stay strong… your energy amazes me.

Kathryn… you have the sweetest voice I’ve ever heard. Your accent creates this sound that’s a gift to listen to. I hope you get everything that you want and find lasting happiness, and please know—always—if you need to talk to someone about anything, anytime, I’m available. (My motivation might be slightly-selfish… “you talking” means I get to hear your delicate utterances.)

Sasha—thanks for letting me know that it’s okay to hurt, and showing me the way through my emotions. Thanks for helping me understand and explain. I truly love you, you stunningly-attractive switch!

Kristen… everything. Always. Seriously.

EVERYONE ELSE: Please don’t think that you’re unimportant to me… that’s really not the case. (Maybe you’re just a’lil’ less important, or easily forgettable! *I keed*) I wouldn’t be who I am without the people around me, and this year has been filled with all kinds of interesting encounters. I feel pretty darned lucky.

I will continue being me, I will continue to change and improve… and I hope to enrich your lives. I hope you can be as proud to know me as I am to know you… again, a special, warm and extremely sincere… thank you all.

…thank you, sir. You truly are an inspiration to me. So much, in fact, that I think I’ll write a blog just like this one later on today.
